Internationally

As the largest labour and employment practice in Scandinavia and the most highly rated in Denmark, our outlook is inherently international

In a global world, HR functions will not be limited by geographical boundaries. We are fully geared to providing cross-border services.

One of our key areas of advice is helping international organisations to do business in Denmark and Scandinavia. We advise from the first tentative enquiry and the decision to go ahead over recruitment and collective bargaining to getting the business up and running. And our long experience makes us ideally suited to help bridge cultural gaps, which is an important aspect in this process.

Another key area is helping international organisations already established here with their labour and employment law issues. As the largest labour and employment law practice in Denmark and Scandinavia and one that acts for management/employers only, we are uniquely placed to understand the needs of employers, whatever their sector and size, and to provide a co-ordinated approach to labour and employment issues in the Scandinavian market.

Norrbom Vinding is a member of Ius Laboris, Global Human Resources Lawyers. The Ius Laboris alliance covers more than 100 countries, and from each jurisdiction Ius Laboris has picked out the best labour and employment law firms.

The alliance numbers far more than 2 000 individual experts – all of whom are available to solve our clients’ problems in almost any jurisdiction. We have personal ties to most of those lawyers. We are therefore also able to take into account such intangibles as the personal chemistry between lawyer and client.

In addition, Norrbom Vinding has strong ties with a large number of other law firms in the Nordic countries and the rest of the world. The strong ties have been built over many years of working together to provide cross-border services.

Our international ties have been further strengthened through our 20+ years of very active participation in the HR section of the International Bar Association (IBA) and in the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) – and we are represented on the governing bodies of both associations.

When we advise on HR law, we recognise the importance of local knowledge. Our local knowledge builds among other things on our participation in international networks such as XBHR (Global Forum for Cross-Border Human Resource experts).
