Our fees are usually based on time spent. This means that it is easy for clients to get up-to-date information about their legal costs. Other factors include the nature of the instructions, the degree of expertise and experience required, the complexity of the matter, our potential liability and the outcome.
But we are always happy to discuss alternative fee arrangements.
In 2011, our hourly rates are as follows (approximate figures):
Partners: EUR 430 – 535
Associates: EUR 280 – 365
Junior Associates: EUR 200 – 255
Legal interns: EUR 90 – 130
As a general rule, fees will be invoiced on a monthly basis and when the work is completed. Litigation work will typically be invoiced on a quarterly basis. Payment is due 15 days after the invoice date. Interest will be charged on late payment in accordance with the Danish Interest Act. We will generally ask for disbursements (court fees etc.) to be paid when incurred.
In some cases, we may ask for a retainer.
Confidentiality, insider rules and conflicts of interest

And all material, in whatever form received, will be treated and kept in confidence.
We also have safe procedures in place to identify any conflicts of interest and independence issues. This means that we will not accept a client or an instruction if there is even the slightest risk of a conflict.

Like other Danish law firms, Norrbom Vinding must comply with the Danish Money Laundering Act. As a result, we will obtain and keep information about clients’ identity and have implemented appropriate controls to ensure compliance.
